Stretch. Strength. Control.

“You can say what Pilates is in three words. Stretch with Strength and Control. And the control part is the most important because that makes you use your mind.”

A native New Yorker with over a decade of dedicated teaching experience, Shannon offers a rare 360-degree perspective on the Pilates industry. Her journey began with a comprehensive Classical certification from Center for Movement—one of Westchester’s inaugural studios—and evolved as she helped launch the first Club Pilates locations in New York. This unique path allowed her to master both sides of the Pilates spectrum, from the rigorous traditional repertoire to contemporary variations and education in TRX and barre.

Shannon’s career is defined by a deep-rooted understanding of the business and mechanics of fitness. With a professional background in commercial real estate, asset management, and IT/cybersecurity, she possesses a 'systems-first' mindset and an industry IQ that few studio owners can match. Having served as an operations manager and HR advisor, Shannon understands the industry from the back-end infrastructure to the front-line client experience. This unique professional breadth, combined with her functional fitness expertise, has earned her recognition in publications like Women’s Health.

A Leader in Education

Currently, Shannon is synthesizing her decade of knowledge into a premier Reformer Teacher Training at Hot Pilates. This program represents a culmination of her experience, bridging the gap between Classical foundations and modern biomechanics. By integrating group exercise science and highlight key Pilates concepts, she is preparing the next generation of instructors for the modern studio environment. This curriculum will expand into a full comprehensive certification on all apparatus in Fall 2026.
